Pacific Crabapple T/D Medicine Bow. F/D added.
« on: November 14, 2013, 01:40:49 am »
Decided to redo this post.

I was playing around with some Pacific crabapple. Not knowing it's tension or compression values I went with a wider oval cross section design.
Very good tension wood. Next one will have a flatter belly and get a heat treating.
This bow is shipped off,  I will get a F/D shot from the new owner and post is as soon as I can.

Thanks for looking,

That wood/horn transition  :o

Black locust. Black locust everywhere.
Mollegabets all day long.
Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.

Is that sylvan crabapple?    ;)

Wow great job Bryce.  Yet another that is an inspiration to try other woods to see how they pan out.
Did you end up staining the back or is that natural?
