wills bow
« on: September 11, 2013, 07:21:25 pm »
my niece called and wanted me to build a bow for her boyfriend and wanted it for his b-day, only gave me 8 days, well its just a couple days late, he's like 6'5" or 6" so I went with hickory pyramid, 68" ntn2" at the fades, 50# @ 29" but I shot it in at 30", long bows sure are sweet shooters, gave it a fade stain with rit liquid brown dye and black leather dye, just a simple easy shooter that he should be able to fill the freezer with, bub

I forgot it has some bison horn tips and a fast flight string it's quite, fast and really accurate

Very nicely done! Perfect tiller. If anybody gets smart, you take out an eye with those tips!

If I was gonna get nit-picky... I'd round the edges of the back off a wee bit more.

thanks guys, first bow I've pulled to 30"seems a lot farther than 29" which is what I'm pulling in the pic, ADB maybe towards the tips but the rest is nicely rounded, thanks Chris, thanks Jordo >:D,
thank's beadman, I can still whip one out quick if I want, bub

Awesome. Well done. Those pyramid bows seem to almost tiller themselves!

Sweet gift, Bub. Nice job on that one!!

Nothin like a little timed test eh? ;)  Looks good man, it'll fill the freezer for sure, just tell im not to leave it up against a tree!  I like the dye job, but not as much as the Duck colored string, Go Ducks
