made a second trade arrow
« on: August 23, 2013, 01:04:26 pm »
Fellas,
I was lucky enough to be able to make a second trade arrow, and thought I sneak in some pics. Needs to be signed yet and final mink oil coat and will ship tomorrow. The head is a high-hard, high carbon steel "trade" point.....used it cause the state it's going to needs at least 7/8" width and none of my stone points are that big.
No specs so don't give anything away, but everything is "all natural" except the broadhead (steel), also did not have any shoots long enough so this shaft was made from yellow birch, cut to 1/2 by 1/2 and ran through the dowel and tennon jig.
Hope that victim 2 likes it.

How does the mink oil dry Rich? I use it on everything I have leather, never considered wood.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Looks great, anyone should like that it looks beautiful and deadly at the same time.

Looks deadly Rich, like the paint also.

Great looking arrow. Makes me wish my state still had the 7/8 rule. :-\

Another nice one. Ain't it fun making arrows Rich, just like bows each one can have it's own personality.
