So, I am going to Albiquiu, New Mexico next month and staying at the Ghost Ranch a few days while my wife paints and takes in the Georgia O'Keif scenery and I may get to plan an outing to two. I read about some agate and jasper near the Albiquiu Lake dam and some chert on Cerro Pedernal. The chert may be too hard to get to. But, I'd appreciate any tips on collecting in that area if any of you New Mexico folks have tips. This area by the way is north of Santa Fe and west of Taos about 50 miles ea. (for the geographically curious).
