Fritz, I love me some hickory... I would say you done that piece justice buddy. I noticed the unstrung profile and no set. That's gett'n it done with hickory dude. That stuff is so tuff.

Thanks guys. I live in sw Louisiana and it is very humid. I tried the hotbox thing for hickory, but I found Pat's advice about bringing into the a/c the ticket to getting the m/c down. Keeping it dry and not over stressing it early on is what I'm learning about hickory. Course my wife really doesn't understand why I have a whole hickory tree under our bed.
