Here's a hickory homegaard I finished up a couple of weeks ago for a guy back east. Started off with the center of a 1.25" plank and chased a ring. I started out with the numbers from the smaller of the 2 bows from the find, but stretched the length to 72" to accommodate his long draw length. Back is lightly trapped to compensate for the lack of high crown relative to the original. Nocks are small wedges of hickory, glued then tied on. Finish is beeswax over a coat of rendered cow fat.
