Manitoba Maple

Hello!

My Dad is going to cut down some Manitoba Maples in our front yard.  Could I use the wood to make
a bow?

FYI This will be my first bow.

Acer negundo is very brittle and doesn't make the cut as a good bow wood.

You might make some nice arrows from it. :)

Hi,  I have a few small staves of manitoba maple that i was going to make kids bows out of.  Thats about all i would recommend it for tho, it is super light and fairly brittle.  I had a friend tiller a 40lb'r bendy handle at about 60" and it broke after a hundred shots, into many pieces apparently.  :)
