Little Hickory for dad.

Been giving all my bows away here lately, gaining experience along the way so it's all good :). This is a short light one (dad picked out the stave). I kept it light cause he doesn't have the upper body strength anymore. It's 60" N/N, 42#'s @ 26". Did a little experimenting with finishes and such - felt like it had a pretty good tiller - till I looked at the full draw picture, oh well it still flings an arra plenty good enough.

way cool, i saw a cattle gate in the back too, so i think we can be friends  ;)   no reailly, the finish and art blew me away.  looks like it took zero set too.   very nice

Very nice Paul. I love the dark/light contrast on the belly. That would be a good back camo.    I bet Dad loves it!   Pat

Thanks all! That was another learning experience for me - tiller is all screwed up and kinda light, I need to perfect some method that works for finish tiller besides eyeball ;D.
 I forgot to mention that it's deerhide backed. The stain job headed south too, it took on the zebra look after I 0000 steel wooled out all the fingerprints. On a more possitive note - It does go back straight after awhile if not a little backset and the tips are improving, hehe :).
 I'll be spending more time with dad now (showing him how to shoot), and hey Keith - that's out at the poor farm where I grew up, they've always got some kind of critters to feed. Most recently horse's.

   :o  Damn, Paul-how'd you get so good at this so quick?  :o That's a beauty! Tiller looks good to me, a little stiffer on the bottom, but that's a good thing sometimes.
