JW's Burlington brothers bow by iowbow
« on: March 02, 2013, 08:13:52 pm »
JW's bow is 62" tip to tip. It pulls 56 lbs. at26". Has 6" levered tips & is a very fine, sweet shooting  bow. I hope he will enjoy shooting it as much as we have today.

Man, those pics don't do that bow justice!  That's as sweet a shooter as I've ever drawn back!  The unbraced pic must be at a funny angle.  I was thinking it had more reflex than that.  I guess we did put a lot of arrows through it today though.  Beautifully done John!  JW will probably wet himself when he sees this.  Josh

Well I am going to be putting some final touches on the tips of the bow today and start thinnning the short levers. I will post the FPS after the tips are complete. I should be able to get a reading by tomorrow after noon.

If you post pics I am gonna go outa my mind until I get my grubby paws on it.  Best you just drop the whole thread.

Tell you what, I'll take a little time out and come get it in early May, whatdya say?  It'll save you the shipping cost!

Aw crap, just realized I am gonna have to make some arrows for it, now.  Ok, gonna have to order some shafts and have 'em ready.  I'll take 'em along to the Classic to bare shaft test them until they shoot straight and finish 'em there!

This sounds like that ancient fable "The Emperor's New Bow."

"Your highness [JW], only those worthy of their position can see the bow..."

 ;)

Can't wait to see some pics of JW's "Blind Date".
