ok everyone had an archery related accident today and to tell the truth im ashamed of what happened, so much so i don't want you guys to know what really happened. so heres what im going to tell everyone to entertain your imagination.

[i was up in the montains of india (kind of supprising scince just yesterday i was in the UK) i heard a twig break behind me and whithin seconds an arrow whiped out of my quiver and i was at full draw. thats when the mountain lion pounced on me i sent the arrow clean through his heart but he still carried on towards me his claw caught my arm and his weight snaped my christmas tree bow. and here i am now]

iv'e had 7 stitches and a badage arround my arm. im in bed now because my mum says i need "rest" the worst bit is tomorrow im doing a 20 mile hike. heres a photo bucket picture of it

Good thinking!   Reminds me of the day I got bucked off my friend's mule on my head!  The first thing I did was jump up and look around to see if anyone was looking!  Another time I accidentally rode my mule into a deep Innocent looking bog hole.  There must have been a crocodile in there as I came up with a $1000 hole in my palm.   Joe

i wish, it now means i have to use a light weight bow instead of my 40# one im using my moms 23# one and my shots are all over the place. SS

Ok, two things here:

1. Don't be too afraid to tell what really happened.  To me that shows pride and if it happened from not listening to others advice to begin with, it will most likely happen again.  Next time might be more than a little gash on the arm.

2. It is really time to slow things down here and wait until you've got the proper tools/materials to build a SAFE usable bow.  I'm all for tinkering and experimenting but it's not worth a serious injury.

Heal quick and listen to the people here, they are trying to help you.
