hand shock at full draw but not short

Ok, so when i full draw my hickory flat bow 50# @ 27" it has some  hand shock. When i short draw @24" it s just barely noticeable. Why is this ?

personally if I get a tiny bit of hand shock I'll check the timing, if it looks o.k. I'll try heavy er arrows or some silencers and that usually takes care if it, Bub
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

More energy stored at a long draw, more potential energy left over after release. Pretty simple.

If it balances in your hand while you draw it, its fine. If you are getting handshock it could be a million things. A few common reasons are fat tips and stiff mid and/or outer limbs.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

The silencers helped alot.

Pearl: my bottom limb was a little stiff in the middle. Took a few scraps and it helped too.
