Rubbed out the finish on my trade bow today. Tomorrow I put on a leather handle and arrow pass. Then some pictures and its done - whew!

Hate to ask,  but what was the deadline for this one? I can't find it anywhere, and it's not in the info from calendargirl. My other obligations are finished(as far as bows) and am ready to start the trade bow. I'm thinking something more along the simple lines, not so much lipstick on this one. Just looking for that bit if inspiration from my recipient to figure out what will suit him perfectly.

From looking at your last two creations you excel at lipstick.

Looks like I got my trade bow just about where I want it. Now its time for a nice heat treat, flip the tips and we'll see how she does. Have put a couple hundred arrows thru it and it pulls like silk and spits and arra quick. Its a little lighter than I had wanted and I'm hoping the heat treat will get it up a few pounds, but its not lacking in performance thats for sure. Will post some pics soon.

How does one get involved with the trade bow? Could someone send me some info on getting in on the fun?

Thanks,
Daniel

I finished my bow today. Still need to make a proper string and a shipping container. Here's a teaser picture for you. I'll post more later.

Thanks, Bryce! I'll make one up in the next month or so. Going out tomorrow AM to do some shooting with the bow I received from Roy Harper . I'll get some pics up  in the next couple of days. It's may 24 weekend up here so that means tonnes of yard work. Throwing in a little playtime too.

by the time i found out what my recipient really likes it was too late the bow was tillered stained and pretty much finished, so if ________ doesnt like it, i will gladly take it back and make a different one.

Looks like another fine bow, Gordon. I can't wait to see more pics. If they ain't happy with one of yours, Bryce, send it down here.

Bryce, it's hard to imagine that someone wouldn't like one of your bows - I don't think you have anything to worry about...
