Decisions, decisions, which one is it going to be out of this pile of wood of various stages of finish. Got some yew, ocean spray, hawthorn, vine maple, purple leaf plum, sequoia, incense cedar, laurel, scotch broom, Am. hornbeam and some others in there. Already moved on from plan A to B already. Got enough backups in that pile for most contingencies......................

Pretty slim pickins there randman :)

yeah might as well pick up that yew and get to work ;)

Got my trade bow chased, sealed the back, roughed out and reduced a bit. Just letting dry out aa touch since it had a little more moisture than i thought.

Chased grain on osage stave this weekend, ended up cutting it into for a couple of future bows. I plan to go down one more grain on each of them, then lay the bows out, cut them out, and do some shaping on a form. Also have a roughed in HHB bow, so I guess I'll be working on three different bows to select from.

well I got my victims done and five coats of true oil put on it.  it is osage backed with deer sinew and deer antler tips .59  1/2 inch tpt pulling right around 50@27 I counted 20 knots in the bow most on the bottom limb and three of them are little peep holes thru the limb. the sinew was done with tight bond  and colored black.and then I used some red from an old bow string and did three small wraps two towards the tips and one just out of the fade . the grip is black leather and the same red bowstring was used to lace up the grip. just waiting on my string for it now.
