Little osage bow LOL
« on: February 05, 2013, 08:00:20 pm »
I wasn't going to post this but what the heck.
This was another little piece that had alot of problems [ I'm a glutton].
Wanted to get 40-45 lbs but no way.
Tear outs, separations between rings and the back lifted. Oh my  ::).
Fixed the lift with sinew.
Ended up 1 1/8" wide taper to 1/2"
63" ntn, #22@26" and a goofy handle but it shoots.
Still alittle stiff in the outer 3rd of the top limb but it's going to have to stay that way.

Yes. Horn shelf. I'll have to put a wrap on it sometime.

It does shoot well although my arrows are a bit stiff.
I'm going to try to get my wife shooting it. She doesn't have alot of intrest.

I need to get back to a decent piece of wood. All though these head scratchers are fun and a challenge.
