YEW spliced branch bow
« on: January 23, 2013, 10:33:58 am »
hi all i made this bow over the last 2 days it is from a yew branch that i had.  i split it and spliced the 2 together, it is my first real attempt at a stave bow rather than boards. i am pretty pleased how its turned out.  the tiller was messing with my eyes and i ended up abit underweight. the tips are walnut and i put a small walnut riser to bulk the handle out abit and  strengthen the splice.
the bow is 64" TTT  and 40# @27"

Hey Bryce, blackhawk might live in osage country, but he isn't dumb.   ;D
