Another very nice bow simson.Did'nt exactly read everything everbody said to ya but I think that bow has a sudbury type look.That elm does pull smooth that's for sure.

That's a great looking bow... but that arrow caught my eye, could you tell me about the fletching?

Fletching are two full length turkey feathers (dyed dark blue and black) inbetween are two strips of white rabbit fur. All is glued on and wrappings at end and beginning. Shaft is bamboo, click on nock with horn insert.

Very nice!  You are turning out some fine bows.  What species of elm is that?  I have tried a couple out of winged elm that have turned out good.   Elm seems to work well in any design.

hrhodes: this is ulmus glabra, I also had good results with ulmus minor. Sorry for the latin names, not shure in the english names. I'm with you: several different design work well with elm.

Okay, thanks.  I think that it's commonly called wych elm and it sure makes a good bow from what I have seen posted from other European bowyers.  Yours sure looks like a good shooter to me.  I don't think we have that particular species in the states, but I may be wrong.  I have never been let down by any of the elm species that I have tried.
