Hey guys!
merry x-mas.  i was wondering if someone could explain the recurving process to me and possibly point me in the way of a tutorial. thanks

I steamed some recurves in a hickory bow and have used dry heat on osage.  I rounded the end of a 2x6 off to use as a form.  I'm no expert by no means.  Maybe somebody else can give some tips.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Have a look at the How To's & Builld along section, read back more than one page. Its covered with pics and all you will ever need to know about making recurves.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Lmao hahaha see!! This is the response i always get. I have spent a lott of time in the how to section. No one ever really explains the process,just "then i recurved the tips"

This is the response you always get because it's really a good response. Pearly was doin ya a favor. :) I spent about 2min in the how to section using the search function and came up with this...

The main thing is to build a form. Then once you have your form you either steam/boil/or dry heat the wood to be bent. There's tons of info out there on this subject. You could even try more creative searches on google. Seriously tons of info....
