What would be the best wood to look for to make a bow if I was to go out and cut something here in north florida? Hoping another bower in fl could give me some pointers. Thanks.

Hickories,oaks,peach,apple,plum,pear,persimmon(fruit trees),mulberry,flowering dogwood,....might be elm,hophornbeam,white ash depending on how far north and where in Florida you are. Also crapemyrtle,and who knows what else

Ooh crapemyrtle??? Didn't know you could use that... bet my wife would be mad if I used here's. Thanks blackhawk. I'm new to tue sickness and not sure whats good and what's not. Mybe when my TBB's (I got all 4 vol) gets here I'll learn some of whats good in them.
