Join us November 21 for our "Giving Thanks we Made it Through Sandy" Thanksgiving Potluck!
It has been, and still is, a rough ride for us and for many of our students, neighbors and friends, but through it all we have remained an amazing community that pulled together to ensure we all made (and make) it through the mess that SuperStorm Sandy left behind.
To celebrate the Power of Community, and to give a huge Thank You! to all of our students, neighors, friends and strangers, we are turning this month's Open Skills Night into an evening of Gratitude and Thanksgiving, and food!
We'll cook a couple of "Spinning Chickens" over the fire, and make up a few pumpkin and apple pies, and ask each person to bring along "a little something" to share with the rest.
In addition, we will be taking donations of food, clothing, blankets, baby supplies, pet supplies, and monetary donations/clean-up supplies toward the purchase/make up of "flood buckets" to be distributed to so many of our friends and former neighbors who lost so much in the Brick/Seaside/Mantoloking area of the Jersey Shore.
We are looking forward to sharing a time of Thanks, Gratitude and general Joy of all that we have NOT lost and hope that you will come out and join us!

This is a free and informal get together that anyone is welcome to attend. Bring along any type of skills project that you're working on (or would like to start), or a plant identification book, or tracking field guide, or just come by to say hello and find out more of what we're all about.
We never know who's going to be here or what folks might be working on, but we do know that it's always a fun evening!
