Looking for a short bow
« on: November 13, 2012, 07:37:21 pm »
Hi Guys,

I am really interested in extremely simple short bendy handle bows, and have made a few. However all the ones I have made I have given away or sold, and with school getting into full swing, I don't have time to work on some of the really nice staves I got until next summer. I can't stop dreaming about having one of these bows to shoot though, so I thought I would see what people might have to trade.

I am looking for something in the 35-40# range at 22". I need a bendy handle bow that is 50" or less n2n. As simple as possible, and it can be unfinished as long as it is tillered and shot in. I'd also be interested in a finished bow as long as it is a no frills stick. Nothing fancy!

If you got something similar please let me know. We can work something out.

Thanks for the offer seider. I have a few bows already in that range that I have made, really just looking for something real short with a short draw.

Your original post says 35 to 40 lb range... what weight exactly do you want? I think I got just the stave for you...

Edit: I see now that I have paid more attention to what I was reading, the post above me here wasnt you.... lol. Anyways, I have a great Osage stick perfect for the task. This Osage has lots of red streaks in it as well. Just lemme know...

Tread softly and carry a bent stick.

Thanks for the offer, but I have plenty of staves right now. Just not enough time to work on them.

Jon,

The bow is packed and should be at the post office at lunchtime. I'll PM you the delivery date when I get it.
