Not Cocobolo specifically but it's safe to say that any "Dalbergia" species has what it takes to be belly wood.

I thought so ,but was wondering if anyone had a living example of a bow.I salvaged a bunch from a boardroom table at a lawyers office Demolition .Found it again while moving lumber the other day and said "HHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM?"

I've only ever used cocbolo as tip overlay accents and handle lam accents. It's too expensive, unless acquired like you did.
