thanks guys. I have thoroughly enjoyed the brother hood of the bow since I got into it about 5-6 yrs ago , but it always seemed a bit incomplete until I was able to make meat with it. That I think is what its all about. Being able to provide for your family with persevarance and the effort with ones own hands. Its kind of like when you grow your own veggies and fruit by the sweat of your brow. Its very satisfying. Its also reminds me to cultivate gratitude to my creator for giving me the opportunity. That is something that cannot be purchased but must be earned. Danny

Thanks Keenan. It warmed up around here so have'nt been back out yet but we're expecting highs in the 40's next week so won't be putting on any roofs in that cold. I figured I might as well get out and see if I can get a buck. We have does galore around this property but don't see many bucks until rut and I think we are just about in it if we are'nt already.    Danny

Thanks Pappy. There have been alot of firsts for me since I took to bow making and bow hunting with my own equiptment. I have and continue to enjoy it immensely. I even stuck a nice Tom a couple few weeks back but did't find him until next morning and the coyotes had eaten him. What meat was left on the bones looked nice and pink though so I hope they enjoyed it cuz if they get in my range it will be there last, lol.   Danny

That's a fine first kill Danny.  It must be an awesome feeling to kill a deer with a weapon you made.  I'm still trying for my first.

Congratulations!
