looking for knapping stuff and bow wood
« on: October 03, 2012, 08:33:39 pm »
I'm looking to get into knapping a little, so I'm looking for some tools to get started.  I was thinking a pressure flaker and/or an ishi stick, and maybe some rocks to play around with.

Also looking for some seasoned bow wood thats ready to work with (everything I have now is still drying). I'm leaning more towards staves or billets, and not stuff for a laminate, but you might be able to change my mind (I've never done a lam before tho).

To trade, I have a dried bull snake skin, along with quite a bit of unprocessed deer leg sinew, some turkey feathers cut to around 5 inches, some full length full height blaze orange feathers. I also have a pile of mule deer sheds that can be cut up to ship if anyone wants some chunks for knife handles or whatever else.

Thanks for looking!

if you still dont have knapping material by Monday ill try to get you some flakes, depending on how much you want i wouldn't mind the snakeskin and or the mule sheds.
