« on: August 31, 2012, 05:03:12 pm »
Hey there, I am about to get myself a 55# @ 29 " recurve bow 3/16 cut past center. Here's the problem, I don't like carbon or aluminum shafts as arrow material and want to stick strictly to wood. what wood, size, spine and weight would you recommend for arrows hat will be used for both hunting and target shooting?

65-70 spine cut to 30".
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

If you haven't purchased the arrows yet, buy a spine testing kit which normally includes 4 arrows, each with a different spine. You can test and see what you really need. You don't want to build arrows or buy them unless you know for sure. Been there, done that and got the T-shirt.
