Fall Flint Ridge Knap-in
The grand flintknapping event! Join us for the largest gathering of primitive skills experts this side of the Mississippi. Enjoy watching flintknappers replicate ancient art, get primitive and throw some spears on the atlatl and dart range, and engage history at the Flint Ridge Museum. Visit with the numerous vendors and pick up tools, stone, crafts, and knowledge.

Yeah, if you live east of the mississippi,and your a knapper,or want to learn how,then this is the place to go and you don't wanna miss it. Its the mecca of knap ins. Pits everywhere...tink tink tink tink...ooooh ahaaaaa is all you hear 24/7 all weekend long  . I'm not even much of a knapper and think its a lot of fun. There's also atlatl throwing there for any atlatlists and for people who have never tried it and wanna try to. My fam loved throwing the darts  ill be there for Friday and Saturday for sure.

I don't wear a hat but I will try to hook it to my chair or something so if you don't know me you can still find me !!
Or ask around you won't go to far without finding some one that knows me ,I camp on the hill with the confederate's !

Im going to try and get someone to trade shifts with me for saturday. If i can i will be there. Realy enjoy myself there couldnt make it last year but was there the previous 2years and made it for just a couple of hours this spring. I realy recomend it for anyone that can make it.

This is one of the few events I go to without an agenda to accomplish ! In other words I have time to sit and talk !

So far no bowmaking stuff...just some rock,boppers,n ishi stick...I might not even hit a lot of rock,and just hang out and shoot the breeze with no agenda as well. So who knows? Ill go by the seat of my pants basically. You know its a fun venue just to go to and hang with folks and take it all in,cus its a lot.
