New shop...finally
« on: July 10, 2012, 01:03:25 am »
I moved last December and only in the last few weeks was able to clear space and dedicate a little bowmaking space for myself.

How many osage bows in various degrees of completion do you find in the above photo?

Another angle.  Del the Cat will appreciate the tea kettle on the hotplate.  I multitasked by steaming fletching and making a cuppa!

Another couple of weeks of shavings on the floor and I will be able to drop wineglasses in there and they won't break!  I ain't sloppy or lazy, I am just making sure my tools have a soft bed to fall on in case they accidently slide off the bench.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Looks like a proper work room to me.  What is the scissor-legged canvas contraption to the right of the shaving horse?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Something you would never recognize, ya dirty heathen.  It's a church pew.  The legs unscissor and the pew back rotates up and over to allow you to lean back and relax whilst prayin'.

No kidding.  It really is a church pew.  There were 7 others just like it that were built for a wedding at a Muzzleloader Rendezvous.

Nice looking Shop JW!!!

Can't wait to have my own space some day soon.

I see four Osage Bows to be, and one questionable...

So you're saying that foldy canvas thingy is a COT?!?   >:D

Is there space dedicated for knapping in the winter?

Looks like a cozy shop to make some bows!
