Thunderbird Bow (full draw added)
« on: June 09, 2012, 04:30:52 pm »
In the Pacific Northwest Coast and many other places, Thunderbird is a giant supernatural bird who causes thunder and lightning. His weapons are lightning snakes which are carried beneath his wings. Lightning flashes when he throws the lightning snakes.
So naturally I had the idea of putting thunderbird feathers on the belly of a bow so that this bow would shoot arrows like thunderbird shoots lightning. I also am in the process of cresting some arrows with snake skin.

Made with Oregon White Oak.

Very nice. Especially the art work!

Ditto on the artwork!  I can hardly wait to see the full draw pics or the arrow pics!

Interesting handle.  How high is your brace height in that picture?

I'll be watching for full draw pictures, your artwork is outstanding!

The handle is made to fit right in the cup of your palm. Brace height is 5 3/4inches

Very very nice Bryce.Everything about it shows patience and attention to detail.Gives me some more incentive for a 62" R/D slight bendy handle flat bow.How wide is the shooting shelf your shooting off of?
