How's about the pedernales point.

Yep that's it. The fun is in seeing everyone's different interpretations of the style. Also, almost everybody has a style or a feature that they struggle with so we get to see (if we're lucky) the point attempts that get chucked against the wall.   >:D

Perdenales, heh... Well I'm game, but ima gonna have to look that one up first.

I don't have any pics of the ones I've made. Maybe someone will post some. Google Texas pedernales arrowheads. Then tou will have an idea. It all in the base. The point its self can have shoulders, or barbed.

Cool!  A Texas point!! ;D

Here are some that I made.  There's quite a bit of variation in these points, like the real ones.

Here are some broken bases of real ones (bottom row).  You will notice that on most specimens, there is slight fluting of the stem.  The blades on real ones exhibit bold flakes with very little edge retouch.

How to Cook It?  200° for 24hrs then 275° to 500° for 4hrs (depending on type), Cool for 12hr

Knapper, the only real ones are the broken ones.  The complete ones are the ones that I made.  I put the real ones with the reproduction ones so you could compare the bases.  But, thanks!   ;D

Here some I've made & a blank will make one out of.  Not my best work by far. The Pedernales is probably the most plentiful point I've found in the Texas hill country.
