Finally got around to trying the POM.
I was tryin so hard to have the serrations perfectly symmetrical but I see I have one too many on a side. Oh well, The Lord knows I'm a long way from perfect!

If you are not happy with it, Scott, send it to me and you'll never see it again. Then we'll both be happy.

Can someone provide some historical details on Pine Trees? Who used them and at what time?
Not knowing much about knapping, I would have to surmise the knapper is showing off a little when he/she makes one. They certainly don't look easy. Love 'em, folks. Keep 'em coming!

I have made a number with copper I have to speak the truth JW it was very easy to do ABO. Flintwalker said that they were most likely used for fishing because so many were found in drained water. As locations. As far as dates it was early archaic 8000-5000 bc. And in the eastern central part i think

Stringman, that point looks wickedly nasty! It just looks very, very bad, like it is just waiting to rip something up. And whatever it hits isn't going to notice the sides don't have the same amount of points. Nice, Nice, Nice!!!!

I couldn't find any green bottles big enough for a respectable pine tree. Sooo, I had to settle with a regular size Heineken bottle. Of course, they don't sell empty bottles so I had to dispose of the contents before I could make the point. Which is a win win! Not only do I get to enjoy a tasty lager, but I now have an excellent excuse for my poorly knapped point.
so here you go Ion, a green glass pine tree, albeit a small one. Josh
