when you build a string how strong does the string have to be to be safe. is it 4 times the draw weight or is it more than that? sorry just couldn't find it in the searches i have tried

B-50, I usually make all my strings either 13 or 14 strands. I shoot between 45 and 60#.

cool thanks guys i was just making sure before stringing up the test i did showed my string breaking at 420 lbs and the bow is just a 45 lb bow so i should be safe anyways

How does the 13 strand string work out? Aren't the bundles s'posed to be equal in thickness/number of threads?
