here's the story it was found in a mail bag in a plastic recycleing plant wraped in cardboard with german writing on it i had three or four people on this site look at it and think it's real deal.

Could be a Danish Type I (lower center of the photo).  Looks real.
Any critter tastes good with enough butter on it.

awesome, thanks for posting! looks real to me. Based on the thickened handle, I think it is a type 2. possibly 2b. can we see more pics? how about a shot of the end of the handle?

It looks real to me. When Claude VanOrder came back from Denmark he showed me a lot of photos he took of people's gardens and flower beds that had been lined with Danish Daggers  and Danish Axes. One persons place had a flower bed that was dow the side of their driveway, about 70' long that had a bunch of artifacts off their farm. Their was a Viking Burial Mound on the highest hill that had been excavated by the government.
