I haven't being able to respond personally to all the questions about guava, because of being extremely busy.
Here I'll post some notes about the most common questions.
I should get net acess within the next week and I'll answer all the further questions.
Curing:
today I was belly tempering a bow that is pretty much done, it has being down to bow dimentions for about 6 months, and was cut over a year ago, the tree being 1 1/2" in diameter, it has spend many days in the blasting sun,...still beads of moisture where appearing
different climates, will work differently, but I belive this wood takes quite a while to lose moisture.
design:
I had great results with narrow deep limbs, wide limb will work great also, but make sure you keep the outher limbs narrow due to the weight of the wood.
the handle can be made extremely narrow too, the wood can handle it.
