A few "primitive" arrows

Just posting these for fun.  The top is goose two fletched, the feathers I "seared" the quills on a few weeks ago and put on a multi floral shaft, wrapped w/ sinew. This is an all natural arrow, no glue.  The second down is MFR shaft w/ chicken feathers, wrapped w/ artificial sinew, tip already broke, still shooting it.  Third down is my 7yold son's arrow, MFR w/ stone point wrapped in sinew and sealed w/ propolis sealer, no fletching yet.  and the fourth one is a hazel shoot that I have been working w/ all stone tools.  Just posting these for fun since I haven't posted arrow for a while and I like making them.  Have a gooder and I always enjoy responces.  dpgratz

interesting fletching on the top two.
like how they look-reckon  they fly right well.
dont think ive seen either before.
might have to give em a go.
got bags full of pretty decent chicken feathers from the neighbors hens.
and a few goose feathers left.
(need to go on an urban hike-every spit of water and park in the city has dozens, if not hundreds, of geese)

Cool arrows. I like snakey arrows as much as snakey bows. The looks you get at the practice line are priceless...especially when you hit the bullseye!

Sadie, usually the back of the feather is pointing up on the two fletch, I just did this one, chicken, the other way to see how it worked.  It goes pretty good.

Pat, Only that one is "snakey"...the one w. the broken tip.

wait so do these snakey arrows fly well because the tip and the nocks are aligned? I doesn't seem like they would fly well...

I think the geese start pretty soon,seems like they do it while the goslings are young. (Relying on memory here ..Uh oh..)........  '  Frank
