Oh yeah BTW it's half scale(ish). 35"ntn the arrow is being drawn 14 1/2" :) About 10# at 14", difficult to measure accurately.
Shoots nicely.
Just shot it through the chrono 119 fps  ;D, it penetrates my foam target by just over 4".


I should really get that left elbow up a bit ;).
The draw is one finger under.

Very pretty.  One day I will get hold of a piece of yew (any yew!!!!) and make it into a bow.  I've just been reading the Yew Wood discussion in another thread.  Getting hold of a decent bit here in the UK is fiercely difficult.  Making a yew bow is up there with making a horn bow for me, sometime in the future I hope.

Haven't named it but stinger might suit as it stings the drawing finger and that arrow would certainly sting.
It's fitting that it will be winging it's way back to Oregon in a few days as a gift to the guy who sent me the billets from which it was made (It was a nice offcut that was begging to become a bow... maybe I should call it little beggar? :laugh:)

Sweet, that's one cute little bow Del ;)    Reminds me of reading Howard Hill's book and how when he was just a few hours old his uncle put a miniature bow in his hands and he just happend to put his hands on it in the correct position when his dad came in the room. 

Let's see, that would be right draw weight and length  for about a 3 year old? :D

Reminds me, I haven't done a crossbow, but i thought it would be cool to do a pistol size handheld one for fun.

Tiller's not bad for a little 'un.
I tend to go for the arc of a circle rather than an elipse.

I made a little hickory bow like that for my son many years ago.  I got the string done and put a ramen shaft on the string. There was box of papers across my office, so I just approximated the draw and let fly. :o  Scared the tar out of me!  No play thing.  At that moment all my hunter safety and bowhunter education things jumped back out.  What in the world did I think I was doing.  That has been nearly 2 decades ago, and the little thing is still alive and kicking out arrows.

cool del..i like the arc of circle full compass draw better in elb's too...they just look sweeter imho....and prob better distribute the load.....but we all know that can be debated

im def gonna be making more yew elbs in the future ...they re just so dang elegantly beautiful in all aspects
