turkey's foot and a tree...

I've been out in the garage all day working on a deer hide and between stretchin sessions these came out. Hide didn't turn out so well, but I kinda like the turkey cutter!

The pine tree notches stalled on me, but I kinda expected that. The keokuck is hard for me to run notches in, but the overall shape was close. Just need to keep practicing on that one

This point came out super sharp. Not sure how much it weighs, but it would be a deer slayer for sure.

I don't see any problems with the notches. I've never seen a turkey knife, I like it.  It really looks good with the blade.

Very cool! I've never seen a knife like that either the serrations on the pine tree look great! Way to go man!

I don't see where you need any more practice. That's a very clean blade there and the points are just fine - knap on!

Nice knappin there Stringman.That turkey footed thing is a gas,how do you presurve them so they don't get all funky?

Thanks guys. A friend gave me that turkey foot and asked me to make a knife with it. I've been holdin on to that tthing for a couple years. Finally had the right blade to make it look good.

Bonepile - I think he just sprayed it with poly after it had dried good and hard.
