May be this gives you an idea. I made a pair of gloves with fringed and beaded cuffs. The pattern was a pair of welding gloves. Otherwise I`ve found a pattern somewhere in www. to make a pair of mittens.

When you finish that pair of gloves, post some pics. I might have a job for you making me a new buffalo hide gauntlet for handling more dangerous birds!!!
