30-30 will never kill anything, that's why all our ancestors are dead.  Starved to death, couldn't kill a gopher with one.  Whatcha need is explosive tipped .699 Short Magnums.

New fishing lures are designed to catch fishermen, new calibers are the gunmakers way of selling another gun to guys that already own too many guns. The "dirty-dirty" and the "dirty-ought-six" still carry the mail plenty good.  But if you are a slob that doesn't shoot well enough to put the mail in the mailbox, go ahead and get yer stinkin' .699 Short Magnum with the explosive tip and shoot'em in the a$$.  Prolly a horn-porn shooter anyway more concerned about stroking his ego with another mount on the wall than  someone that respects the animal enough to eat it.

Love your well cared for acquisition.  At least it looks like a respectable gun for a respectable hunter!

Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
