Hey everyone,
Just curious if anone has ever used Forsythia shoots as arrow shafts. They grow knot free and very hard, plus they are easy to straighten.... I have never used them but was curious if I could.

I have heard of Forsythia being used for arrows but haven't used it myself. I know it has a pithy center so you will have to deal with that for point and nock ends. A hardwood dowel would work.
Give it a try and let us know how it works. Might just be the arrow material that would be available to most folks. Heck, they probably have it growing in their years.
