And the bottom tree is not like any locust I've ever seen. It would have rounded leaves if it was a locust. Not sure what it is without seeing the bark.

The bottom one is either mimosa or honeylocust. Leaves look more like mimosa to me. Never tried it as bow wood so I cant help you there.

The bark for the bottom one looked like this. It would probably be better if it was still on the wood but I debarked it already.

because I'm not experienced enough but I'm going to see what I can do with it. I've gotten to tillering this (tulip polar?) not maple bow but things are kind of difficult when all you have is a couple of metal files, a machete, and a kitchen butcher knife.
