You guys just kill me, :o that looks great to me,Maybe I just don't know what a bow is supposed to look like, :-[ :-[tiller looks good and finish work is excellent. Don't know how you could ask for much more from a wood bow. Nice job.

Man thats nice, love the tiller. I give up too easy on bows that have a problem i must learn to be more inventive with repairs.

Nice bow Chris! Looks like a hunter to me.

Thanks for the warning!

Bow looks really good from here. It's always a pain when things don't go right and it seems the wood is fighting you at every turn. But when you finally wrangle it and convince that piece of wood that it needs to be a bow, the feeling of accomplishment is very satisfying. So I'd suggest stop criticizing and start enjoying!  ;)

Blackhawk, I really like it, the two tone look is something special. I know you don't want/need critics (especially from me) so I'll ask you to criticize my observation so I can tune my own skill because I'm a rookie. The top limb looks stiffer than the bottom?
Also noticed you said 55@24", is 24 your draw?

Nice bow, I don't know that I'll ever be that good.

Thanks chris

Thanks Matt...im also being harshly sarcastic with myself. But believe me I am enjoying this.....IMMENSELY

Thanks Gary...keep building n you'll get better than me. I used to say the same thing about hoping to be as good as guys I looked up too(and still do)  the tiller is opposite of what you said. Its a hair weaker than the bottom at full draw, but if you look at the brace its pretty dead even. And my draw length depends on what type o bow im shooting. With a short bendy like this 24" is my draw length. Im about 26" with a normal stiff handled bow. 29" with a g!#$# bow n I wont mention the other forbidden cuss word...lol

Thanks Del.....lol. ill lose that gut after me wife pops out our 4th child. Im gaining sympathy weight..lol   I may be laughing but I seriously have gained 9 lbs since she got prego. Lol

Lol bubby....good one....thanks.  :)

Here's a couple shots of the handle area. First one is in a mirror and shows the back and belly at the same time. Second one is a side view shot. I glued and used dr scholls insoles to fill the handle area and wrapped it with black leather. Feels great.<br />
