Hickory backed Massaranduba

Hickory(Carya ovata) backed Massaranduba/Bulletwood (Manilkara ridentata) lefthanded shooter. It is 65 1/2" ntn, 1 1/2"@ the fades and 9/16" @ the tips. It draws 58#@28". The handle is Monterillo/Tiger Rosewood (Brownea macrophylla) & Satinwood/Yellowheart (Euxlophora paraensis). The tips are of Satine/Bloodwood (Brosimum paraense) & Bocote (Cordia elaeagnoides). It has Western Diamondback snakeskins, leather grip and lace and a Tru oil finish.

Yes, I added about 2 inches of reflex which all of but about 1/2" was pulled out. This is my third bow and I won't tell you how many I that I splintered while attempting to add reflex. Thanks for the compliments and for all the helpful information that made this bow a shooter, my next bow Will be a selfbow without an arrowseat :) Painting my shed is also on the list.

I like the skins and the tips. The outer thirds of both limbs are showing to be a bit stiff among with the lower mid limb.

PS: don't get me wrong. I don't mean to be rude, it's just that in my culture people say what they think. We Finns are quiet and can seem a bit rude by your standards.

the bow has no visible string follow though, and that tells that the wood is not over stressed from any point.

Good looking bow, that Massaranduba is good stuff isn't it.  I have a R/D hickory-backed Massaranduba glueup, waiting for a handle piece.  Its only 1" wide, I found on my first one that 1.5" required me to really thin the limbs a ton in order to get in the 50lb range.
