alive and well david. seen some crazy stuff after that storm. still a lot of areas without power and im pretty damn sick of cutting trees. flood damage was the worst though. at one point i was driving up a hill and saw an area of water running through the woods, 3' deep , with white caps about 100 yrds wide. this was where a stream normally is. a lot of houses went under from the rain. vermont took the biggest hit from flood waters though. they are heros up there for doing what they did. they actually let their rivers overflow in spots behind the dams so that mass and connecticut didnt get crushed by the coming water. if they hadnt done that the connecticut and farmington rivers would of taken out towns. just under 800,000 people without power in this state alone and after day 3 it was down to 200,000. definitely not what we are used to up here. we can handle snow, but not 17 trillion gls of water that the storm dumped on us. my area got 8.5" of rain from it. the shoreline is gonna be screwed up for a while. funny thing is rick trojanowski live south of me in long island. he had minimal damage. our hills just couldnt take the rain. we had a tornadoe in june that came with microbursts and i think if it hadnt been for that storm cleaning the woods it would of been a lot worse for the trees.
