.................................. I talked to Jamie and we both thought it might be fun to continue these threads to impart some knowledge and increase the genetic memory bank. There are NO prizes or gratituties just knowledge fer some of you. It will include all kinds of things from animal kingdom to prehistoric to modern. Tools ,tracks whatever. I will start it off and hopefully Jamie will see it and post the next thing or two. When its guessed we will give a short reason for it and its background. All are welcome but on easy ones you old timers let new foks make a guess. Both are modern and hachets. What are they (HAVE TO HAVE NAME)? "Uh its a hachet!" LOL. What does it do and how is it used ? So here we go !

Shoot me ifn' I'm wrong, but....... No wait, don't!
The first one looks like a bearded throwing axe that was used by the Franks, but I think the handle is to short. The second one, I have no idea.

Oh, don't rub it in. I have priced both of them, but don't own either.

I have one of the second variety, inherited it from my Grandpa. I just made a new ash handle for it a while back.

yea, I have one of the 2nd as well. comes in very handy for decrowning, debarking, some finer work as well when I'm not worn out from swinging it.
and I'd like to have one like the 1st but all I've ever seen were expensive. suggestions on where to get one that's less expensive ??.............not that I really need one
