My best hand axe.....gift from Thomas H.
« on: July 13, 2011, 01:28:59 pm »
Hey fellas,
Just received this beautifull axe from Thomas H......it is perfect, balance, temper, edge holding....etc etc it's just the damned finest Hawk I've ever used. I guess it's one of only two. anyway, enjoy the pics.....
The engraving is beautifull as is the incised carving, the blade is also carrying a makers mark of a hand.....I'm real tickled, like ya can't tell,eh?

That is a very nice hawk/hatchet. That will be a good all around utility tool.  8)

Nice.  How long is that handle?  I use a similar head shape w/ a shorter handle and call it a Kentucky belt ax.
