Hackberry Staves/bow blanks
« on: May 21, 2011, 08:47:13 pm »
I've got some fresh Hackberry and lots of it. I've got a whole list of stuff I want so feel free to PM me with what you have to offer and we can take it from there. I love to barter for goods, I've always said that I was born 150 years too late.  ;D

Some samples of what I have.

That hackberrys some nice stuff. Not only is it a good bow wood, but it is a joy to cut and split into staves. You pick the right tree, and you can get 12 - 16 perfect knotless pipe straight 75" staves. Awesome. :)
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."
