Where would the knot end up on the finished bow?

The knot is 8 inches below the top limb tip. The limb right now is still 1 1/2" wide. I plan to narrow the limb to where the knot hole is gone but wanted some opinion on what everyone thought about it. The grain of the wood looks like it will allow me to do it like that. Anyone ever done anything like this?

if it is where you say and the grain can be followed i would go ahead and narrow it there. i personally wouldnt want a limb that wide that far out on the limb anyway.
