first skins-more pictures added

this is the first bow  i ever applied snake skins to  not even sure if both are  rattler  but got both very cheap so  had to practice on something. ;D so how wrong is it.glued with tite bond 3 and finished with 8 coats of tru-oil.

looks sweet to me. don't know what kind of snake it is either but they are cool looking.  like the bow like the others(yes more pics) ;D

here are some more pictures the bow is 56" ntn ipe with bamboo back 43#@27" ,got the bow in a trade from nugget a while back it is really a good shooter

You quit too soon....9 coats, son, 9 coats!

Sorry, just had to stir the pot a little.  I think it looks great, it may not make the bow shoot any faster or your eye more accurate but you gonna make every shot in STYLE!  Good work!

Nice bow! You have nothing to be nervous about posting your work.  Good job.   As for the skins they look like speckled king snake to me... Very cool.
Talking trees. What do trees have to talk about, hmm... except the consistency of squirrel droppings?

Those skins almost have a geometric pattern to them... What type of snake?

Good looking bow! and Arrowind is spot on,it is kingsnake.I had a couple of them as pets.
