Side nocks???

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if there are any significant advantages or disadvantages to side nocks? I know that they are easy to make but do they offer any advantage over conventional or pin type nocks? Just curious cause I might put them on my next bow. Thanks...

Hi Jon, I asked the same question a few months ago. From what I remember the answer was no real advantage or disadvantage, but maybe someone else will chime in who knows a little more than me.

One advantage is the string will cross the bow(not necessarily the handle) if the side nocks are on opposite sides.

yes, pat is correct, and also it finds pretty much center of the bow as well, and if you put the nocks on the same side of the limbs it will help straighten out limb tips.
