Few from last two weekends
« on: February 27, 2011, 11:19:46 am »
Finally getting some time to knap again. Not sure of the style, but need to work on notching and reducing the ears. Material is mostly hornstone with the darker one dacite and the white one I think crescent city(St. Louis area). Any comments welcome

Only advice is haft them up and hunt with them
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body. But rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming....WOW WHAT A RIDE!!

looking good tracy. start dropping that platform a bit and run the flakes at an angle and you'll get rid of that bulb at the back. doing a damn fine job though.

Looking real good Tracy! Yep, I'd have to tie them to an arra and give the critters a hard time with em ;D. Man! Why couldn't I find some hornstone that size ::)?

Thanks for the comments /advice Bob, Jesse, Cowboy, Jamie and Nugget! I'll probably bring that piece to the Classic and see what Jesse can do with it. Cowboy, if you make it back this way I found a spot near where you were that has some bigger nodules: less rock , but better quality/size.
