Hey guys,
figured I'd give you all an update on Mackenzie and share some pics.
This kid is doing so awesome. And I know that word is often overused but she really leaves me full of awe. She decided that she could crawl about 2 weeks ago!
This is something we weren't sure if she was going to be able to do but she just up and decided that she wasn't going to let anything hold her back. She is so stubborn and always pushes herslef and refuses to give up even when things are hard for her. She has also decided out of the blue that she wants to be a cuddle bug. She really gives the greatest hugs. And she almost always has a grin on her face.
She had an MRI recently and the neurosurgeon said he's relatively certain now that she will not need a shunt. She has been UTI free now for 3 1/2 months. She went 4 months nonstop with UTI's so this is a really huge thing.
Overall she is just awesome. I can tell you that from birth to about 6 months old I really had to work hard to stay upbeat and actually enjoy her, now everytime I look at her I crack into a smile. In short I'mloving being a Dad.
We spent the afternoon at the park with the dog. Enjoy the pics.
